Classic game that should have remained a nostalgic memory

User Rating: 3.8 | Double Dragon X360
I remember waiting IN LINE at the arcade for the chance at kicking some arse on Double Dragon. Man, that game rocked.... BACK IN THE DAY.

First... the bad:
Unfortunately, it's gameplay does not make a graceful reentry in today's standard. The frame rate is choppy, the animation is blocky, and controls don't translate on screen as quick as they should. The music will drive itself like a screw-driver into your brain and make you want to go postal. The 'enhanced' graphics make the game look like a really cheasy Flash game you download in advertisement banners. I mean... c'mon! What happened?! Is this the SAME Double Dragon I used to hoard my quarters for when I was a wee-lad? Okay... the good:
Even with all it's shortcomings... the game is still *kinda fun. The game is very short, and you'll be able to beat it in 20 minutes or so. This makes it great for multiple run throughs to unlock the wacky achievements, and it's not very hard so you won't ever have that 'want-to-chuck-the-360-out-the-window' moments. But besides being 'short and easy', and only being around $4 dollars or so (cheaper than a McValue meal), there's no other reason to play this game... other than relatively easy and wacky achievements and to see panty shots of Billy's girlfriend (if you're into to that sort of thing).

Overall:
Short and easy. You'll be able to unlock most of the achievements in just a few hours if you really were tempted to. OLD SCHOOL, classic game but unsure if the game itself was just this bad or if the translation of it was this bad. Anyway... you can't really go wrong with it IF YOU"RE A FAN of it from the old days... but honestly... the game is 'meh'

Rock out!
