DOOM (1993)

this game is like wine-the more it gets older,the more it gets better!i really dont care if the graphics look dated.

this game represents the true essence of old-school.1993-16 years have passed since then & i never get bored of it.it's near perfection.also,it's one of the most controversial games ever because of the violence it has & other things,but who cares?you are a marine stranded on mars & you have to fight your way through hordes of aliens!it really represents the definition of the word "doom"-image yourself in this position,far,far away from earth,with no help,surrounded by hell's minions.this is the ultimate nightmare.
there are 4 episodes,with 8 maps & 1 bonus map each.you will find only heavy weapons through-out the game,but as i said,the shotgun is my nr.1 favourite.
also,this game really changed the mentality of gamers around the world.they finally got a serious game.
I think that Doom was somehow inspired from the movie Total Recall!
