A fun original rhythm title, however this game deserves better songs but still nice to see a unique rhythm game on Cube.

Rhythm games are always so popular because of the way you played them. Like Dance Revolution on the arcade and for Playstation 2 and Samba de Amigo for Dreamcast. Now Nintendo decide to make a rhythm game too call Donkey Konga.

The main idea of the game is to clear all songs and unlock all extras. Now you played this game with bongos instead of a controller. Well in other words a bongo controller. But this bongos have a sensor were you can clap. Now here is a description of what each symbol means:

yellow circle - hit left bongo
red circle - hit right bongo
purple circle – hit both bongos
spiky white circle – clap

And one bongo controller comes free when you buy the game. With other rhythm games you need to buy the dance pad or maracas separately. There is also some minigames that you can buy with the money you earn clearing each music. But they are quite not so good. There is no fun on them. But you forget about them easily because just playing with the bongos is plain fun.

This is the lowest part of Donkey Konga. Now the characters have a nice touch and the backgrounds were decent enough. But the menu screen was a little plain.

The music that you can play are really good. You have music from games like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, etc. And you also have this cool music's like Loco Motion, Dancing in the Street. It really gives lots of good music.

Story: One day Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong were strolling along the beach when they found a pair of mysterious barrels. Donkey Kong decide to take their discovery to wise, old Cranky Kong. Cranky told them that is a legendary musical instrument called bongos. Donkey Kong named their discovery DK Bongos, and soon he and Diddy caught up in drumming, clapping and dreaming of becoming famous musicians with all the bananas they could eat.

This game in multiplayer is crazy fun. Is one of the best multiplayer games you can find right now. But it doesn't get a 10 because you need to buy an extra bongo controller to play with anyone else.

With lots of good music's there is a lot of coming back. When you have nothing to do you will played Donkey Konga right away.

Donkey Konga is a great new addictive idea from Nintendo and Namco. And when you buy the game you get a free bongo controller.
