One of the best SNES games and possibly the best Donkey Kong game!

User Rating: 10 | Super Donkey Kong SNES
Like alot of people, I used to be really addicted to the 1981 arcade classic "Donkey Kong". I was constantly trying to make my way to the top to rescue Pauline, but those barrels always found a way to bring old Mario, and my patience, down. Which is why I stopped playing Donkey Kong for a while for the sake of my sanity. Later on I discovered another Donkey Kong game, only this time I was controlling him and there was no Mario.

The very first time I played this, it just blew my mind. Practically everything about this game was fantastic. It was just pure, raw, crazy fun. You take on the role of Donkey Kong and his best buddy Diddy Kong as you go through all sorts of creative jungle-themed stages to recover your stolen banana horde from the sinister king of crocs King K. Rool.

As much of a challenge as it can be (which is still a good thing), DKC is easily one of the best games for the SNES, and probably the best Donkey Kong game ever made.

PROS:
-Revolutionary graphics for Super Nintendo
-Controls are nearly perfect
-Sound is really catchy, upbeat, jungle style music that really shine as a Donkey Kong game
-If you die, you at least get a humorously satisfying balloon pop
-Always provides a challenge
-Animals you find in crates can come in handy
-Fantastc levels that are full of variety and are very colorful and vibrant
-Even bosses provide some challenge.

CONS:

If you have a SNES, you better get this game, or you'll be missing out on some of the best the system has to offer. You can expect to go back and replay this game again and again.
