Being a huge fan of the previous DK games, I was happy to see the first few pics of this game revived on the Wii a few weeks ago. Knowing how Nintendo is known for their quality Mario and DK games I knew this one would be an instant classic. And was I right!!! I want to first start out by saying this, I consider myself a very smart video game shopper and usually buy games used because I can get them at a good price. Every once in a while I will dish out the money for a new game and this is one of those times(Forza and Halo series being the other times). Boy and I glad I bought this game the day it came out!! This game has yet to disapoint since I started playing! The levels are amazing, the difficulty is just right, and the boss fights are great. The only thing that prevented me from giving it a perfect score is the fact that you have to shake the Wii remote to perform a few moves. As the editors at Gamespot mentioned, the roll move is activated by the user shaking the Wii remote. This is a nice idea but it's not alway precise. This can lead to many repeated deaths and missed jumps. Is it enough to not play the game? Hell no! This minor blemish is why I didnt give this game a perfect 10. I dont know why Gamespot gave it an 8.5 but they must have other reasons other than control issues? One thing for sure, if you own a Wii then this is a must title for you! Done and done!
