I got the game and have played it for a week, give or take a day or two, and I think it's pretty cool. Definitely a "must-have".

We speak to director Mitsunori Takahashi about what Dissidia's gameplay focuses are, evolving the design to make it more appealing to RPG fans, the new multiplayer options, and more.
Only two disappointments I have...watch the Now Playing vid of this, you'll see the character select screen. You'll see they have 10 empty spaces for characters. However, after researching the game that's out in Japan, those spaces are not getting filled. We have space on the game that can easily be filled, and it's not getting filled. Secondly, I understand why maybe not every FF will get a new character(though they can still add more), there really isn't much a reasoning to not include more stages. But it would appear each game in the series is getting either one or the other. Either a new stage, or a new character. XI, XII, and XIII being the only exceptions due to them not being fully represented in the first game. They said something about DLC, so I expect to see downloadable characters and stages(though let me guess, I'm going to have to pay for material that could've been in right from the start?)
im still playing the demo of the first one.....never got around to buying it for some reason im sure im going to be playng this one for about 2 - 3 years
The last one became a dust collector in 1 or 2 days. This one looks like the next dust collector..only not mines. Yours if you buy it.
they should have allowed guardian forces like Ifrit and bahamut zero in the game, and able 2 team up with other characters to fight them
Is this an old interview? He said he could only reveal 4 new characters when we know that Laguna and Yuna wil also be involved and that Aerith is a possible Assist character. Didn't reveal anything we didn't already know. Disappointed.
I hope I can use the first Dissidia's save games. I've played it for at least 120 hours, doing all that levelling and it sucks if I get my hands on Duodecim and I'd have to start all over again.
I can't wait for the game to come ot on the U.S. I already have the japanese version and it is pretty fun.
@Mc_Trickz IMO it would be better to use Zack as Cloud's alternate outfit like in Tekken games (if you purchase Christie's alternate outfit, you can play as Eddy). They both use the same sword and fighting style, only change the voice acting.
i think this would be a very good game for ps3 if thety took the time to make it, and zack would be the same fighting style as cloud.
I have a little question, what about Zack from FF Crisis Core? It's by far my fav character from FF!!Please put Zack in the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey if anyone wants to fight when it comes out and u have a ps3 then hit me up for some ad hoc party and we will fight. my psn id is whoistimjones. long live square-enix.
so its just lightning that was added, don't see any other difference from the first game
Try opening your eyes. ;) Lightning, Tifa, Vaan, Prishe, Gilgamesh, Kain, Laguna. At least 3 new Stages. New Songs, New Costumes. A World Map. New Systems like the Assist Characters. A new Story PLUS the story of the original Dissidia with new cutscenes. And other stuff.
hes got an asian version of a british accent. Still having trouble understanding him. Excited about the game though..woohooo!!
Gamespot should really make some subtitled versions of their videos, 'cause I have no audio here at work. XD
