Please don't believe the Gamespot score of 7.4 because this is a horrible game. Gamespot claims this game is a good title for smaller kids but I honestly don't see how. This game is impossible to finish. Believe me I've played and won in many difficult racing games like Gran Turismo, Toca Race Driver, NASCAR games, LeMans 24 Hours and all the Need For Speed games since 2003 but this is by far the most difficult racing game I've ever played on any console or port. First off there are so few features and options. For example you can only adjust the volume of the music. You can't skip through songs or anything. In Fact the entire main menu is pretty generic looking. Career mode starts off rather easy but not too far in it becomes so hard. If you've ever seen the movie CARS you'll know that Lightning McQueen is a 900 HP racing machine. In Career mode you'll find it hard to pass cars like Luigi who is a Fiat 500 and Lizzie who looks like a Ford Model T. Even worse the tracks seem to be boobie trapped so that you have no chance at the win. The only real chance at the win is to take shortcuts but they hurt more than they help. The other cars seem to be way too fast even at the start of the race. At the start of one of my races I kept up great speed and even used a few shortcuts and some boost but I found myself 9 seconds behind the leader and I could not catch the first place car. The whole game is like this. The game also features time trials which are hard to win at too. CARS on the PSP is a terrible game with impossible races and limited feartures. Please don't buy this game because I picked it up for $15 bucks and I am stuck with it. If want to play CARS pick up the PS2 version of the game or the XBOX 360 version. I don't want you to suffer like I did.
