The worst camera in the history of videogames.

Worst camera ever. I know you have probably read those words before in other reviews regarding this game. Hopefully you took those words to heart and didn't drop your hard earned $50 on this game. If you are like myself, you are stubborn and wanted to see for yourself. Well, I could have taken the $50 and smoked it and it would have been better spent. I will start by saying that this is the worst game I have played in recent memory. And it's my own fault. I read all the reviews for this game before I bought it. They all said this game is frustrating beyond words because of the camera. I disagree with part of that. I did find MANY words to describe how I would like to meet the moron that made this game and beat him WITH a camera. I will say that everything else about the game is pretty good. The story is about a ship that has reappeared in space after thousands of years and your crew is sent to go investigate and rescue any survivors. Upon entering the ship, you encounter various dinosaurs. Don't ask me what they were smoking when they came up with this idea, but it actually doesn't play out all that badly. The first dino you find is a mutated T-Rex. This will be the highlight of the game. Trust me. After that, the game goes downhill. You will notice when you start your first battle that the camera will have you quitting this game long before the ending. Basically they use the Resident Evil type camera in a action game. While having steady shots works for a survival horror game, it definitely doesn't work for a action game. Basically it's like trying to play Devil May Cry without ever seeing the enemies attacking you before they do. To make it worse is when you are walking in one direction and then the camera switches views (for some reason) and you are now walking the opposite direction from which you started. It makes no sense. I don't even know how Capcom let the game out the doors in this condition. I could go on & on, but just know that this is the worst camera I have EVER seen in any game. By far. The graphics, however, are very nice. Everything has a nice, shiny tone to it. The character models are well done. And the dinos look pretty good. The T-Rex looks insane!! The music is not bad either. Nothing to rave about, but it has it's moments. And the gameplay isn't too bad if you had a decent camera. Too bad we don't. In closing, don't go buy this game. Don't even bother renting it. Just write Capcom asking them why the hell they would release a game in this bad of a condition. This is maybe the most disappointing game I have played in some time. I was really looking forward to a survival horror game. What I got here was a half-ass action game with the worst camera in the history of videogames. Avoid like the plague.
