A great rpg for the Playstation, one that can be enjoyed by ones dedicated enough to it.

A game I personally bought by accident, which turned out to be a better purchase anyways.

You don't have to like the show to like DMW3. Much like the much more popular Pokemon games, it has a completely separate story.

The game can be a turn off at first with its long opening and slightly dated graphics, but when your finally set free can be a easy way to waste away a day.

You have a limited selection of Digimon to choose from in the beginning but you eventually obtain DNA to get new ones through hard work and dedication making that new Veemon all the sweeter.

The fighting system may seem plain ordinary and boring, so if you like turn by turn with a bit of rotation it's overlook able. At first it is fairly boring and tedious, once you get to higher up levels your Digimon can easily dispose of most enemies and you can eventually just acquire items to avoid wild Digimon. The Digivole cinematic can be pixely but to a true fan looks awesome.

The moves your Digimon learn are completely up to you and how you raise them. Every aspect of the Digimon are pretty much up to you. What evolutions they have, moves and items.

The game makes obtaining items somewhat different. You can buy items normally or wait until the auctions start up. which tends to be a good investment once you get membership.

The game allows you to do a alt type of battling, good old card games. For when you want to take a break from battling your animated Digimon you can collect cards from Cardmon or buy them. Can be a good and fun experience if you keep up with it. I fyou don't then you will be far behind the fellow NPC card players and have little chance to catch up.

DMW3 can be hard to keep up with. The story isn't very clear and tends to require alot of just aimlessly walking. Hard bosses it forces you to do the annoying train up 14 levels before you can continue deal. Also with out any real detailed world map you can get lost easily. Battles can be frustrating and annoying as well with Digimon constantly popping up.

With most rpg's once you get started and get the hang of it it's a enjoyable experience. Leveling and finally beating that Digimon you couldn't before shows your progress. With all sorts of extras to do you will never get bored and as long as you pay attention you won't get too lost or confused as it would seem.

I would definitely recommend this game to a Digimon lover or a experienced rpg player due to its difficulty.
