Still and always will be one of my favorites!

User Rating: 9.5 | Diablo PS
I am no pro at reviews, actually my first, sorry if it isn't great.

Diablo for the Ps1 is to my standards today a great game, with tons of replay value. Playing as the Warrior right now is a blast, hack n slash has never been so fun, and now im wanting to replay with a different character. Blizzard entertainment made this game to be a bit frustrating at times, since non of the shrines have any indication as to what they do, but this only makes the game better in the end.

Gameplay... 10/10

Amazing, for 1998 (1996 pc) this breaks the bank! Full control over your character, lots of interesting spells (some of which i still have no idea what they do), tons of equiptment to constantly upgrade, and the A.I is actually quite good.

Sound... 9/10

Music in this game could not get any better, from heavy-metal to what sounds alot like classical at time IT WORKS! Just the music alone takes you for an emotional rollercoaster ride. The sound effects are great, obviously to today's standards it could have improved with the technology of which they had access to, but there are sound effects for just about everything, and they are of very good quality. Some of the spells could have been cleaned up a bit with their audio frequency, or possibly tones. Sometimes the "hits" willnot produce a sound, but you really wont notice when there are 20+ Blood Knights trying to kill you.

Graphics... 10/10

As good as it gets for Playstation 1 period! Texture, shading, blood, gore, models, and equiptment is detailed and clean. Your body armour is shown with great detail, even in the reflection in the water. Crows flying away in town is an awsome touch, steam from the cooking pots, and even moving blood-type lava.

Replay... 10/10

An easy 10!! Even out of the games produced today in 2011 i have never personally wanted to replay a game this badly since Warcraft II for pc. The dungeons are different everytime, 3 characters to devolope, very diverse weaponry, what more is there in a hack'n'slash type rpg?

Overall... 9.5/10

Get this game! If you can find it!
I really wanted to give this a 10/10, but since it is 2011 and this is when i wrote this review there are a couple of things that i believe could have been very slightly improved. In 1998 i would have easily given this a 10/10 without hesitation.
