Devil May Cry 3 makes up for DMC2's mishaps and then some.

User Rating: 10 | Devil May Cry 3 PS2
Devil May Cry 3 is an incredible game that will leave you breathless. It will get you pumped up with it's intense gameplay and incredible heavy metal music. It will make you feel satisfaction like no other when you finally beat that tough-as-nails boss. Devil May Cry 3 is tough yes, but better for it. Gameplay: Quite simply, this is the best playing action game ever. DMC3 controls splendidly and has a fluidity about it like no other. To combat the difficulty you can go back to previous missions and replay them to practice, or gain more red orbs to upgrade your character to a strength where you can beat the next level. No this game will not let you beat it, you have to earn it, something rare in today's games. Shame on Gamespot (namely Greg Kasavin) for being such a sissy and lowering his score because he thought it was unreasonably hard. If a game is too hard, practice more. Devil May Cry 3 is tough as nails, but that's what makes it rewarding. Great job Capcom by making it tough. Graphics: Simply amazing. Dante has never looked better. The enviorments are amazing and detailed. Effects are eye poppingly good and the cutscenes are some of the best I've ever seen. Sound: I love DMC3's soundtrack. It is heavy-metal through and through, and it goes perfectly with the tone of the game. It kicks in high gear when the game is intense and gets your blood flowing. Sound effects and voices are top-notch as well. Value: Worth every bit of $50. With the ability to level up Dante to god-like status and the level replays this game has a ton of value to it. Bottom Line: Devil May Cry 3 is the best action game I have yet to play.
