Devil May Cry 2 does not live up to its predecessor and the result is an overall disappointing experience for fans of the original. The graphics are not as sharp or polished, the difficulty is pretty much non existent. Considering the first game was very difficult I don't understand why they made this game so easy. You do get to play through this game with 2 different characters but both playthrough's are too short and also to similiar. A good player will finish this game with both characters in a weekend. The story is not as serious and Dante just keeps getting cheesier. The gameplay is still solid and that is what makes this game still fun to play. So if you are a player who doesn't want to be challenged and just have fun ripping your way through a game with fun cool looking moves then you might enjoy this game. I personally look for a richer more fulfilling gameplay experience. Rent this game, do not buy it.
