Excellent mix of FPS and RPG to go along with a good story.

I had never played the original Deus Ex when I played this game. Boy I was really missing something. Deus Ex Invisible War has it faults but they are out shined by the excellent gameplay mix of FPS along with RPG elements. I really enjoyed being able to make decisions on which factions to help. This is like KOTOR except your decisions don't effect you the way they do in KOTOR. Like I said earlier this is not your typical FPS. You are able to use Bio-mods to make you more deadly than your average covert operative. You will also find weapon enhancements throughout. In this game you don't go mindlessly shooting up enemies, you will interact with your environment and the characters within. You play as Alex and you are able to choose whether to be a male or a female. The game takes place in the future and it starts out with the city of Chicago getting wiped out by terrorists. The story is good and will keep the player involved throughout. Deus Ex has its faults like I said. There are frequent load times and for some reason no gun has to be reloaded and each gun uses the same ammo. This takes away from the realism of the game. Also the FPS elements of the game are good but not as tight as some FPS that focus more on combat. Overall Deus Ex was an excellent game that stands apart from almost all other games. I would recommend this game to players who want just a little something different from there FPS.
