Deus ex was my first shooter and it's a decent game worth a play through

User Rating: 7.5 | Deus Ex: Human Revolution PC
I bought dues ex on a whim because it seemed really cool and I heard some good things about it. Then when I found out that square enix made it I was pretty much sold. I'm not that big into the FPS style, but I definitely enjoyed this game. It has a very cool futuristic style which was enticing. It was definitely worth a play through.

Story: 7/10
The story is very enticing and fun and does constantly bring up the ethics of having robotic limbs (I forget the term they used for ppl with robotic limbs because it has been a while since I played it.) Also the story allows you to choose the things adam says and the decisions he makes. This ultimately determines how the story ends. As adam gets revenge on those that killed his ex and infiltrated Serif industries, the story will keep you interested through and through.

Score: 8/10
The score in the game isn't too memorable (in my opinion) but definitely doesn't falter or lack anywhere.

Character/ Character Development: 7/10
None of the characters in this game are extremely memorable aside from adam. However, he does have some good interactions with people and it's up to you whether to make him out to be a dick or sympathetic towards others.

Graphics: 9.25/10
Very stunning graphics and cutscenes make dues ex look beautiful. Square enix did a great job of making everything look futuristic with not only technology but buildings and some designs as well while still keeping a modern day look throughout the city.

Difficulty: 2.5/10 (0 being the easiest, and 10 being the hardest)
The difficult in this game is good because of the ability to quick switch difficult mid mission. If your having trouble with something on medium or hard mode, you can simply drop down a difficulty level, get through the part your having trouble with and reset it to your previous level of difficulty. However, the AI can get a bit stupid at times and the boss fights are a complete joke. I literally waited in a corner during the first boss fight until the guy was almost dead, and then shot him a few times and it was over.

Organization/ Clarity: 9/10
The organization is very good here. It is very easy to switch out guns and use items all thanks to the quick screen. Find your objective location is always very clear and markers will tell you how far you are away from a main/side mission. Upgrading adam is simple and you are always told of the upgrades that are coming up next for each category so you know how you will want to prioritize your upgrades to get the things you want for the game.

Fun: 7/10
Deus Ex is a good shooter and you're going to have fun going through it. That being said there could be more side quests or more optional places to explore through. I find that when a game lacks this it does bring the fun down a bit because it limits what you can do. There are a good amount of places to explore; I personally just wanted a bit more.

Gameplay 8/10
As far as gameplay goes, it pretty much your standard fps. But there are also a lot of rpg elements in the game as well. Also the game style lets you play the way you want to. For example, say your infiltrating a certain area with a lot of guards. You can be stealthy and sneak past all of them or go in guns blazing and take them all down. There's also a choice of whither to use bullets to kill your foes or tranquilizer darts and stun guns to knock them out. This really heightens the level your enjoy playing it and increases the audience the game appeals to.
