Wonderful and tragic.

I hope that this game succeeds.

It is by no means perfect, but is none the less an excellent game. The company took a light stance on copy protection, and they were rewarded with having their game leaked a week early and pirated to hell and back. 18,000 copies sold, and 118,000 people were trying to connect to their servers. This caused the connectivity problems that the reviews all bemoan.

These low reviews will in turn reduce sales, and this message of no DRM will ultimately prove to be a loss, which is tragic since I truly believe that it is a good idea.

The game itself is, well, a more action packed DOTA. The characters seem well balanced, the maps are few but fun. The game is good - I think that without the connectivity issues, Gamespot would have given it an 8.0/10. It has huge potential for extra content however - new spells, maps and characters - and I think that if the community comes together to support these companies that are very much trying to support the players, it could be a long lasting and excellent franchise.
