A Game I thought was hilarious and just incredibly fun to play.

When I first heard about deadpool I got this is gonna be good impression then when I saw actual gameplay I was worried for it then the reviews popped up. I had some extra cash so why not?

Visuals in the game are pretty decent. the models are pretty good they did a great job re-creating our favorite and not favorite characters. the new enemies I think had some pretty rad designs. animations are pretty decent some can look choppy. the enviorments look washed out with some mid res textures and looks kind of unfinished. It is pretty colorful then again what marvel game isn't. some of the particle effects look pretty unfinished.

The sound i think is pretty solid. The voice acting is great especially from nolan north who is incredibly top notch as deadpool the other voice actors do a good job even though they are there for like several minutes or less. sound effects do there job. I liked the music it's nothing memorable but there are some good tracks in this game.

The story or lack there of is that Deadpool blackmails high moon studios in order to make his awesome game and defeat Mr.sinister to prove himself worthy. now the story isn't good or bad but it does make up for it with it's hilarious writing, deadpool will constantly break the 4th wall but we all love him for it. I got a dose of nostalgia seeing some marvel characters like cable and psylocke some great moments there.

The gameplay is a third person shooter and hack n slash hybrid now personally I really enjoyed the combat yeah it's not that deep and it's nothing original but for it is I thought it was pretty good. in terms of weapons for melee you have katanas, sais, and hammers, all of these weapons I thought were all fun to use especially the sais shredding your enemies didn't get old for me. the guns you get are pistols, sub machine guns, shotguns, and lazor blasters, which controlled well there is even a lock on button for people who have trouble aiming with joysticks. the gun and sword combat works really well in my case it didn't feel clunky to me. there is a stylish kind of move just press the b button and let the magic begin oh btw you can chain this with guns and such. there is an issue with this because b is also the button where you preform teleportation which can get annoying. you can also do super attacks with energy you can find or get from killing enemies. there is an store which allows you to buy weapons, upgrade them, and upgrade your abilities. the version i'm playing is the pc version the porting is fine in my case you are better off using a 360 controller since it just feels more fluent now the keyboard and mouse controls work but It just didn't do it for me however it is 40$ which is good because the game really doesn't offer much replayability and content you get challenges which is that great in all honesty. the game can also get repetative but that's to be expected. the game took me 7 hours which was a pretty decent length.

I thought this game was a blast to play through the only problems are that it doesn't have a lot of content and it can get repetative. I gave this such a positive review because I really like these hack n slash and tps hybrids.
