It's Deadpool... He's the Merc with a Mouth and you'll either love him and by extension this game or you won't.
It's true they could have tightened up the combat but then again comparing it to a triple A game like Rocksteady's batman arkham city which had more developers and resources to make a better game seems unfair. Combat can be repetitive and the humour is not for everyone.
It sort of fitting that a game about an unconventional borderline batshit crazy protagonist has a somewhat wayward and disjointed game. From that perspective this game makes tonnes of sense.
However overall, it was in my opinion a great use of the license and generally well done game all things considered. The 12 year old inside me cracked up.
