Fun gameplay but way too frustrating for my tastes and I gave up wanting to play more but couldn't take it as is.

Just getting around to playing this 2006 game now in 2010 to see what all the fuss was about. I'm glad I did, coming in the new platinum triple pack from Capcom.

But oh man would I be mad if I paid full price for this. It reminds me a lot of the same kind of frustration I got playing Demons Souls for the PS3 (another game I had to give up on to avoid from going crazy).

In summary, there is a good game in here - really fun killing Zombies in so many different ways, and even liked the goofy humor of the whole thing.

But the choice to limit the saves, coupled with having to either reload a save file, or restart from the beginning when you die, just was not for me.

I get that they were trying to extend the gameplay by having you restart to try again keeping the experience you gained, but I guess that is not something I want to do.

In Summary: Not for me, and unless there is some totally open sandbox mode unlocked from the start in the upcoming Version 2, I won't be getting that one for sure.

PS: The difficulty of this game is not really HARD as I indicate, the gameplay is actually quite easy. The Hard part is the frustration of having to start over when you die.
