High hopes for this game were dashed into tiny bits, it doesn't live up to what it should be.

I am a happy girl that I didn't buy this game, and instead rented it first. I am supremely dissapointed in what could have been a killer game. At first glace, the idea of a plethora of zombies you can kill in darn near any fashion your whim takes you seems like a nvel idea, and it is, problem is, it's not exactly what it should be. It's excessively choppy, and that might be due to the poor Wii simply not having the capabilities of the graphics intensive cousins the PS3 and the XBOX, it just can't hack the intensity on the screen. The MAIN problem I have is the repetitiveness. Despite the wide array of novel items to slay zombies with, your list runs out pretty quickly, and the same old ones do wear quickly, and it is like each item runs on a cycle - it works a little while and fades out before having to employ it again instead of just running continuously, giving it a choppy feel on top of an actual choppy game all around. The fluidity of the game is annoying, not just the Wii-can't-handle-it choppiness and load time, but some design flaw that makes spaces a bit too cramped for your character to move around in, so you'll be running circles and backing up more than you will want to.

So this game sounds like a good idea on the surface, and no doubt it is fun to play for a while, but it lacks the addictive quality that characterizes House of the Dead or Resident Evil. It is more of a novelty game, and not necessarily one to add to your keeper collection. That status is reserved for the aforementioned.
