Dead Rising: Case Zero is a fun arcade game.
The game introduces the new hero, Chuck Green, that you will take control of in the sequel and his daughter Kathy who was bitten by a zombie and needs a drug called zombrex every 24 hours. Your objective is simple: Find the drug, give it to your daughter and build a bike from parts found all over the small town of Still Creek.
Right off the start you will notice that there are a lot more zombies in the world and the graphics are much improved from the original game. The town is really small however, but it's packed with different interesting weapons, has new fresh areas to explore and small Easter eggs that will entertain you until DR2 comes out. There is a minimal performance issues that hits the game every now and then, but it is never to the point that is unplayable.
There are also tons of weapons that you can combine together to create a special weapon that is more effective against the zombies and gives you lots of experience points to level up Chuck. The maximum level you can reach in the game is 5, and once you beat the game you can carry over all your saved data (like weapons and stats) to Dead Rising 2. At the end there's one boss battle that is really easy. You'll have unlimited supplies of health near and it's really easy to take him down.
In conclusion: if you feel like killing zombies and want to see how amazing can be the next Dead Rising instalment, then go ahead and grab this game from the Xbox Live marketplace. It's only 5$ and totally worth it!
