Decent fighting game with great moves, sexy hot girls and great graphics, but the gameplay and the value strongly lacks.

User Rating: 8 | Dead or Alive 2 DC
Gameplay: The Dead or Alive games started out as a Virtua Fighter clone with girls with large breasts that bounce alot, back in 1996 as "Dead or Alive." The game was releassed for the Sega Saturn in Japan, but never got a US releass due to the failure of the system in the States and Europe. So the game went on the Playstation in 1998. Now Sega made the Dreamcast in 1999, so Techmo wanted to use its powerful hardware (at the time) for Dead or Alive 2. Sega had high hopes that Dreamcast was going to be successful, so Dead or Alive 2 got a US Dreamcast releasse. The game feels less like a Virtua Fighter clone and is more oringinal about its fighting system. New characters have been added and the fighting modes are easy to master now. However, with good gameplay, the game is really short. You'll complete each character's story in less then 2 hours. Most fighting games offer extras to keep gamers entertained, but DOA 2 lacks in extras. The fighting extra modes are limited, and there's a very little choice in costumes for each character. Overall, the gameplay is good, but very short. Graphics: Now these are probably the best graphic's I've ever seen on a Dreamcast. Many of the textures are not blocky and are very smooth. The character models are strongly detailed and have smooth textures. The female character's have many special effects, especially on their breasts. (They still bounce a couple times) The framerate is fast and great. It only slows down for the cutscenes to give us a cinematic feel. A few textures now look a bit blocky compared to XBOX games and such, but this is amazing on what the Dreamcast could do. This game has the best Dreamcast graphics ever, period. Sound: The music is pretty good, which sometimes makes me want to listen to them when I think of peaceful things. The sound effects are alright, but some of the sound effects are reused too much. The voice acting is in Japanese, and fits in well with the game's atmosphere. There's not much else to say about the sound really... Conclusion: The game has awesome graphics, characters and gameplay, but the game is really short. The only way you can enjoy this game for a long is to play with friends. The game does not have much extras to keep gamers to come back. But other then that, the game is really good and worth owning to any fighting fan that has a Dreamcast. Pros: -Probably the best graphics on the Dreamcast -Hot sexy girls -Good music -Nice fighting system Cons: -Too short -Not much extra costumes and other gameplay elements
