does not look like a big deal, at the beginning, but...
Story. I guess it is not the strongest part of the game, since the topic is pretty old and we all got used already: horrible outbreak of an unknown desease, hordes of flesh eating zombies... we all already saw it before. many times. but the story is nice, after all. coherent... pretty realistic (hehe, as far as such a sick fantasy might be...).
Gameplay. at the beginning, it looks kinda senseless, but deeper you get, better it becomes: a huge area to play: whole damn island. many places to scout, a lot of charaters, a lot of side missions, which helps a lot to improve player's specs... The environment is diverse: beach resort, hotel, lighthouse, town, sewers, jungle, lab & prison... a lot of stages. all very good figured out...
the first release of Far Cry comes to mind.. Some annoing thing, I guess, it is that weapons get broken pretty fast... of course, there is a solution: workshops, but in this case, I do not undertand, why I should pay for reparing, if I do it by myself.... but, ok it is just a game... on other hand, it makes you to use almost everything you get, to keep fighting.... so I guess, it is not that bad, after all.
Like I said before, the game offers huge variety of missions, some are "must do", others are optional. this makes this game really good, in addition some missions are just very funny (like getting some champagne to a drunk lady...) Primary missions are well organized, making this game pretty engaging.
Graphic engine. it is not a big deal, but really good, and the most important, suits perfectly the game, creating the "right" atmosphere... in my case, have presented some minor glitches, but overall performance was good. It is worth to mention that there are cool effects, like slow motion camera, which give the game a really special touch...
Controls. out of question: everything worked fine.
The only one annoing issue i could mention is the sound: once i ran the game, there were a strange background noise, through speakers... I checked on google, and find out that the issue affected 5.1 &7.1 systems... I switched to "stereo", and it worked fine...
In order to finish, I would say that it is a great game, with some minor issues, but of course, deserves to be played through...
