Darkstalkers is a cult classic 2-D fighter that should be virtually impossible to find, so if you're looking...good luck. However it's availability aside, the game was very well done. No, it wasn't quite as fast as a guilty gear persay, but it was easily as fast as street fighter 2. The move sets were unique and plentiful, and the characters were relatively well-balanced. Going with a winning formula really worked in this case.
The game featured little in the way of extras and admittedly there wasn't a great deal of replay value, but for what it was it deserved more success than it received. It was a cult classic sure, but i never thought the cult would be so small.
