Dark Void is surprisingly great and is a high flying third person action game that was developed by Capcom, the developer of the Resident Evil series. After reading the low scores by critics I was weary of buying this game, as Ign gave this game a score of 5 out of 10. However game spot gave it a pretty good score of 6.5 out of 10. I found it cheap at EB Games for $ 9.99, so I decided to buy it and give it a chance to impress me and I'm glad I did, as it turned out to be a very fun game and a great game over all. This game is highly underappreciated. It definitely deserves more popularity from gamers.

Dark Void has a great upgrade system, as you can upgrade all the weapons in the game and you can fully upgrade your jet pack three times. Upgrading your jetpack makes the machine gun on it much more powerful and more deadly. Also when you upgrade your jet pack for the third and final time you get to fire micro magnetic rockets from it. The rockets are powerful and really cool to fire at your enemies. This game however has repetitive enemies and this also makes the game play repetitive, but over all the game play is great. The flying in this game is great fun and blasting around the out door levels is a riot. The on foot levels are very good, and the flying missions are great. I wish there were more flying missions. However there are two downloadable flying missions for this game and it costs just $ 4.99 to down load them onto your playstation 3. I'm looking forward to down loading them and playing them.

Dark Void has great level design. There are in door and out door environments. The out door levels are the most fun because you can fly around them. Combat is varried with this game having both air and ground combat. The dog fights in the air with flying alien saucers are awesome.

Dark Void has great vertical platforming and fun vertical combat. These are great ideas added to the game play and make things interesting. It has good exploration and lots of collectables to find, such as journals, tech point collectables, weapons , and ammunition.

Dark Void can be easy at times and also frustrating, but it has a great challenge for gamers. It has a great aptmosphere and a good cover system. There are a good variety of weapons.

One key problem with this game is that there are glitches. I've experienced some sound glithes, game play glitches, and a game freezing bug that happened to me once in my first play through.

The game play is fast paced and fun. It is fun to play through this game as a high flying hero.

The graphics are very good over all. The cut scenes look great and the game play graphics are good.

The combat is very fun and exciting, especially the air combat. very great over all combat.

The sound design is great over all. The music is great, the voice acting is excellent, and the sound effects are sharp.

The controlls are very good and easy to use. The flying controlls were awkward at first, but once you get used to them they become second nature.

The replay value is very good, as it is fun to play through the story campaigne multiple times and its fun to replay your favourite missions.

The story is pretty good, but far from good. Its a character driven story and a fun one to follow, with some great dialogue.

The presentation is great, as the cut scenes look and sound great.

The boss fights are great, but there should have been more. The final boss fight is awesome.

The missions are excellent and the mission objectives are varied and great. There are a good variety of missions types. The regular enemies are good, but repetitive. More variety to the regular enemies would have been much better.
