Despite a couple drawbacks, I'll be playing this game for another 5-10 years.

Okay, I'll admit that the battle can get a little repetitive and that there were times I wanted to punch a baby for getting killed so easily in the dungeons, but this was undoubtedly a revolutionary title. The characters were adorable, and the town-building system was very fun. (And the individuality and special features of each of the playable characters made me chuckle.) And it's possibly the only RPG I know that allows fishing, town building AND rhythm-based fight sequences that offer you awesome rewards if you execute them correctly.

Unique, quirky, and easy to pick up, this game has grown on me and ranks high on my favorite game chart, but I can see why it's not for everyone. Still, if you're curious, or just looking for a game to kill a few hours' boredom, gamefly can help you out. Rent it and decide from there. (It's also a $7 title in Gamestop's bargain bin.)
