Awesome game, fun to play, though it's repeaditive dungeon system can get a little annoying.

This game has it all: Great graphics (for its time), Zelda-like combat system, cheesy anime sounds that we all enjoy, and an impressive weapons system. Now, take all that, and add to it the ability to make your own town; to assemble buildings, (You have to find the pieces in the dungeons) and to place those buildings, along with rivers, ponds, and trees wherever in the area you want them. And even when you assemble all the buildings and everything, the citizens of these towns request positions for their buildings, in which you often have to move stuff around a bit to get it to fit perfectly... like a jigsaw puzzle. But aside from all of this awesomeness, I found this game to have one considerable drawback: the dungeons. Now, there is nothing wrong with these dungeons in my mind, they're fun. But, there are many dungeons, and they're all too similar to eachother. Just adding new enemies and changes the names of keys (I don't think) is enough to satisfy the versatility that every game needs. Besides this one drawback, this is one of the best PS2 RPGs I have played, and is definetly not a waist of your time.
