Dark Cloud 2 (Dark Chronicle for PAL players) is a solid game with great gameplay and beautiful cel shaded graphics. There is a lot to do in this game and it will keep you busy for a long time. I will not go into the story, as it is not very interesting.

Gameplay: Action RPG at its best, at least some of the best for the Playstation 2. There is a lot to do and the game will keep you busy with fighting, customizing, building towns, fishing, creating items, playing golf and taking photographs!

Graphics: Beautiful graphics resembling games like Dragon Quest: Journey of the Cursed King. No flashy cg rendered cut scenes, but the in game graphics present the cut scenes nicely.

Sound: Not a very memorable soundtrack, but nice nonetheless. The voices range from above average to very good.

Value: There is a lot to do! A bunch of mini games, customizing and a horde of dungeons means you can not really go wrong with this one.

If you want a game with great gameplay that looks nice, then this is the game. Some might put off by the slightly dull story, which is probably the only disappointing aspect of this game.
