This is quite possibly the best game ever ported from the arcade. Even without the dual stick configuration, the controls are easy enough to pick up and execute moves. The level designs, while mostly flat offer enough cover for a good player to maneuver around. The cyber trooper selection is excellent, with fast ones, slow ones, and even ones with wierd attacks. Its also pretty easy to switch between different fighters, as the move combos are pretty much the same, they just attack differently. The graphics aren't the best out there, but they definately fit the style of the game perfectly. The sound is also very serviceable and fits in excellently. You can also add some interesting battle parameters, such as melee most, where human players can only use close attacks, or slow mo mode, which is excellent for getting the hang of the game system. Overall, there isn't really any mech game that comes close to being quite as good as VOOT.
