User Rating: 1 | Custer's Revenge 2600
There have been many horrible game companies in the history of the video game industry: Acclaim, Sunsoft, and of course Atari. But of all of these horrible game companies, none can compare with a small company called Mystique.

It's 1982 and Atari is at it's height, after a failed attempt to stop third party developer Activison from producing games for it's popular VCS/2600 System. As a result the flood gates were opened as everyone and their grandmother raced to open video game divisions, and one of these failed divisions was Mystique, who's games were sold under the banner "Swedish Erotica." Among these games was the infamous Custer's Revenge.

In the annals of American History George Armstrong Custer is one of the most controversal and hated figures ever, and this game only adds to that controversy. During the game the player takes control of Custer with one goal, get across the screen and rape a woman who is tied to a cactus whil in the process dodging the spears that rain down upon you.

Over all there is nothing good that can be said about this game, the game play is the same thing over and over. The graphics are bland and unattractive, and over all it's just doesn't end, no matter how many times you get hit by the spears it just doesn't seem to kill you.

In the end Custer's Revenge is a game that should never have been made, it's offensive, rude, and uncalled for, Atari didn't need Pornographic games to make the 2600 a success, but Mystique thought otherwise, and as a result they stained the 2600's legacy. Like ET the only people who Custer's Revenge, or any Mystique game, will appeal too are collectors who want a complete 2600 library.
