Up there with it's predecessor

User Rating: 10 | Crysis Warhead PC
Crysis Warhead is a stand alone game in the Crysis universe. Forget Nomad in this one, in this one you play Nomads teamate Psycho and see what he did through the island. You may have thought Psycho wasn't doing anything important while you were fighting mother freakin aliens from outer space. Well You're wrong psycho was also fighting for his life against the crazy KPA and aliens.Crysis Warhead was created to show you a more optimized, less buggy game, and a "more difficult AI". This was to try and fix the little issues that were in the first one and make an all together great game.

In Crysis Warhead you start off with Psycho during the American invasion of the KPA occupied island. No you are not looking for answers in this one but following a crazy General who for some reason is obsessed with a container and you Psycho have to prevent him from taking it back to Korea and using reverse engineering to create weapons of mass destruction.

During the missions you have a radio operator giving you objectives to complete,an old friend providing you air support, and even another nano suit team squad to help you blow up the crazy Koreans and mysterious aliens. Also as your playing throughout the game you'll get to see Psycho's past and the relationship with the pilot "Oniel".

Overall the story is well made and you get to see a little character development with Psycho. Though some parts are questionable in the game that cross the original crysis. Questions like "why didn't they use the Pak weapon on the just exosuits in the first one?" With these little problems in the story line the developers did a great job in creating a story without creating big contradictions to the main story plot in Crysis.

The Game play is fantastic and feels as good the original. You'll feel right at home with this one as you shoot your way through the jungle. The AI is still not as bright but still better than the first. Aliens are said to be more tougher but since you hardly see them until the end of the game it's hard to tell. There is no epic tank battle, flying helicopters, going into the alien ship, or even a last stand on a U.S. vessel but there is a neat train section in which you fight and defend the strange container from Koreans and Aliens. The game is also a lot shorter than the previous Crysis but the game will still kill about 7~12 hours for a cheap price.

Though you still may need to open up that computer case and remove the obsolete technology and replace it with the new ones Crysis Warhead did it's job it is a much more optimized game, it runs better than Crysis, bugs were fixed, the AI was a tad buffed up, and the experience was just as intense as the first one. So if you have an extra $20.00 in your pocket and want some time to kill before Crysis 2 comes out go out and pick this one up you won't be disappointed.
