A solid game worth your time, it doesn't make you upgrade your PC, but still looks great.

User Rating: 8.5 | Crysis 2 PC
From the creator's of 2007s 'forced to PC upgrade' to play Crysis, comes the sequel, Crysis2. Rarely can sequels match to successful originals, but Crysis2 in itself is a successful game thats worth your time and money. Storywise, Crysis2 borrows little from the original and goes off running into a new epic adventure. In this case, fighting an alien invasion in a chaotic New York City. With many other FPS games currently set in the modern day warfare, its refreshing to play in a sci-fi world. The story well assembled with the expected enemies, allies, and reveals. Its fun shooting around NYC inspired environments. The gradual progression of the Crysis suit powers is well timed and eventually becomes second nature to use and very fun. However, it still is your normal shoot to save point and the AI is quiet poor at times. The soundtrack and audio is exceptional and compelling to the game.

Multi-player is the standard variety of modes with class loadouts, weapon unlocks, and killstreak rewards. One of the different modes is crash site, wherein players fight to control randomly dropped pods for points. Its certainly the most fun mode to play in Crysis2, along with the standard modes, like deathmatch. With the suit's abilities to power jump and cloak, camping and sniping becomes harder. Also, players can customize their suits by unlocking modules to improve your performance and is adaptable to your type of play style from 'run n gun' to 'slow and steady heavy weapons'. The more you stick with a certain module, the more you continue to upgrade to level3 with benefits. Its a nice progressive gameplay development of 'perks' from CoD. The main drawback is the obvious hacks from inept players. Sadly, the votekick system is not as simple as F1 and F2 for voting. In order to do so, it disrupts gameplay, so many don't vote and the inept player stays on.

The launch wasn't as smooth in the basics as it should have been. Serious lagging issues, login hiccups, and simple missing features like in-depth graphic options (which is a obvious a console handicap affecting PCs) kept Crysis2 from perfection. Some of the issues have been patched up and promised to be worked upon. Overall, Crysis2 has become a good and fun game that entertain you through the summer.
