The Gamespot review is outdated. The game has been greatly improved with updates, and is now FREE!

Crimecraft is a massively multiplayer online third person shooter that was released almost a year ago. I have been a hardcore fan of this game for some time, and from what I have noticed from different websites, this game had gotten pretty low reviews. After reading many of them, I noticed that every review I read was written when the game was released. As I play through the game today, I notice that many of the flaws the game had when the reviews were written have been improved greatly. No website is going to go back and review the game now with all of its updates and improvements, so I thought I would take the time to try to emphasize what a great game this is.

First of all, this game now does not cost anything to play monthly anymore. The game is free to play, but, if you pay $4.99 a month you get a few perks. Check'em Here:

Its definitely worth the cash, since you have to pay nothing for the game.

To get into gameplay, PvP is where its at. It is very solid and balanced, and the reason that I have been so addicted to this game for so long. Originally, this games weapons had a little bit of balancing issues, but the developers have dine a great job fixing it.

There is also a PvP mode, where you can do different types of games solo, or with a group of people. It is an easy way to make cash, as well as collect ingredients for crafting.

I know what you are thinking if you have never heard of this game. Yes, the name is Crimecraft, and of course, you immediately think of World of Warcraft, but essentially, the name does work, as there is crime and there is the other half of the game, crafting. Within the game, you can choose one of four crafts, which allow you to make items that are essential to this game. Gunsmiths make guns, Chemists make boosts (in game abilities), Tailors make armor, and engineers make ammo and weapon attachments. All of these items are easily put up for sale and sold in an auction house listed by other players.

Visually, the game looks great. It runs on the Unreal 3 Engine, has great models, as well as particle effects, dynamic lighting, the whole shabang.

As for the audio, it can be slightly bland, but this is a game you want to play your own music over anyway.

There are a few flaws in this game, but they are very minor in my opinion. Character customization is lacking diversity, which can be a little annoying, because you will occasionally come across someone who looks just like you. Also, jumping into this game as a noob can be a little disheartening, because characters that have played for a while already have great weapons and armor. Don't let this discourage you, though. After a few hours you will be up to snuff and enjoying the game the way it was meant to be, and the handicap elements of the game stoop the really strong people for coming in and starting a massacre.

Finally, you might be thinking, "I am not going to pick up this game, I am going to wait and buy APB or Huxley," (Two other MMO shooters). Well I can tell you, I have played the Betas for Huxley as well as APB. They have there strengths, but they both cannot compare to Crimecraft's shooter elements. Also, this game can be free, so give it a shot and you won't be disappointed.

Enjoy :)
