Hilarious, crash something with style.

User Rating: 7.5 | Crash Twinsanity PS2
The most recent Crash games haven't been too good, it kinda lost it "Crash" feel and were quite easy. Alas, twinsanity turned the tables, for me at least!

Dr. Cortex is about to exterminate Crash. He dress himself up as Coco, Crash's little sister and makes him tag along. They get into one trouble after another and notices there's someting seriously wrong. A pair of parrots shows up from the 10th dimension and tells them that they want to destroy everything in their world. There's something familliar about them and Cortex have to team up with Crash to solve the mystery and save his home!

Unlike the other Crash games, there's is no level-selection room/island. You're free to explore whatever and whenever you want, as long you're not prevented by a savepoint somehow. You also start with all skills, double jump, sliding, etc. You're not able to get a cheap bazooka this time! There are of course things you can use as weapons, something like a soccerball or some cannon that are around. There's also no box collecting nor time trial on the levels, but diamonds are here to stay! You'll have to look around for the gems and figure out how to get them. Many of them are a little hard to get. When you get them, you get new stuffs for the gallery!

Boss fights are incredibly easy, easy to figure out and dodge. Anyhow, the surroundigs are creative and colourful with a quite smooth flow. You're also allowed to control the camera! Controlling the characters are easy, simple and ok. Not too much to worry about and it's very funny when Crash and Cortex teams up!

The background music was the first to get my attention when I first started. It's very cheery, funny and unique. I've never experienced something like that in a game. The tunes are very playful and it just spreads a "good/happy/funny" mood through the game.
The humour was VERY typical me in this one and I enjoyed everything. Too bad the game is rather short, it's easy to beat, took me 5 hours to beat. Ack well, Twinsanity was a very funny game and I recommend it to "retro"-Crash fans. It w as very different and simply fun to play.
