A good game, but not enough to compete with Mario Kart.

User Rating: 7.5 | Crash Nitro Kart GC
Crash Nitro Kart was the sequel to the PlayStation best-seller, Crash Team Racing. This was obvious because of the similar Adventure mode and the style of racing. The sequel, however, did not live up to its predecessor.

The graphics were well polished and animated only during the cut-scenes, but I say that in the lightest way. It's like watching Jimmy Neutron. When playing the actual game, I felt like I was playing a Sega Saturn game. The game-play is just slow and boring. I only thought it improved during the multiplayer, though. It was satisfying to play with actual experienced players, rather than bland CPUs. The control is, gladly, spot-on. Steering is smooth and easy. Usually, when making a racing game, control and fun are the two key points. The control is perfect, but the fun is shaky. Now for the modes. Adventure mode is the main game, where you race to win! To get to different levels, you need to drive to them, just like the original. The story is just too boring, but younger ones might enjoy it.

I don't need to explain much after that. Because overall, CNK is OK, but young ones might get more of a kick out of it.
