Gameplay is handled with matches between counter-terrorists (CTs) and terrorists (Ts). As it has always been, Ts must plant the bomb or kill all the CTs in order to win a round, as CTs must diffuse the bomb or kill all of the opposing side (Ts). Although it's simple as it sounds, Counter Strike is not just a shooter, it also requires strategic plans in order to win rounds and cooperation with your teammates. But if you just like shooting down people, that's fine too. Other than that, the gameplay is very heptic and exciting which adds to its experience.
As much as this game is great, there happens to be many cheap moments in the game. I guess you could say, it's not noob friendly. For example, many players tend to use the awp, which is a sniper that kills you in one shot. Also, players tend to wall spam as well, such as shooting through walls to get enemies on the other side. Flashbanging can also be a real downer since it blinds your field of vision completely temporarily, but then again, that's part of the strategic elements in the game.
Overall, counter strike is an utter classic multiplayer that is still extremely popular all over the world. As for Condition Zero and Bot, they are not as popular as the original CS, they are still great games if you're into that stuff. This game is one of the best online PC shooters of all-time! This may be off on the review, but as much as I'm not much of a Source fan, I also recommend getting Counter Strike: Source if the original doesn't do it for you.
