Great fun, unbeatable price

Conan is one of those games that serves a very specific purpose. When you get tired of playing CoD or Final Fantasy or some other deeply engrossing game that takes many hours of your time you need a way to change gears and just have fun for a few hours. Conan took me 6 hours to beat and it was quite fun the whole time. You get tons of bloody non stop action and more devastating combos than you could ever use.

There are 3 weapon types, 1 handed (which includes sword/shield combo), dual wield, and two handed. each had a skill tree that progresses as you kill more enemies and rescue naked maidens. Its a great system and you quickly find yourself unlocking many new moves each level.

The boss battles range from easy to controller throwing difficult; As do the normal enemies. Its very important to take notice of the attack patterns of the enemies or you will find yourself being comboed to death in no time. This is a good thing tho because it requires you to hone your skills and do more than simply mash buttons.

The enemies are varied, as are the environments, so you never get bored or notice a recycling of anything. The enemies also use a variety of weapons which can all be picked up and used. So if you are using a one handed sword/ shield and feel like dual wielding for a few minutes then you can pick up a sword from your dead headless foe and use it.

Overall a very fun and surprisingly challenging experience. When you factor in the dirt cheap price and the frequency of pixelated breasts you really cant go wrong.

The 8.0 score is derived from the short playthrough time with no additional features to unlock. Also the lack of multiplayer is painful because this could easily feature a second player to help you cut through hordes of enemies.
