A fun expansion that is too short for its price

User Rating: 7.5 | Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor PC
Company of Heroes Tales of Valor tells the tales 3 groups of men during WWII. The first is the story of a Tiger elite crew, the second is of a US paratrooper squad tasked with taking and defending a objective and the final campaign has the player defending a key town which will allow the 7th panzer division to escape utter destruction by allied invasion forces.

All in all the game is great, sound and voice acting are suburb just like the other two installments. The game adds several multyplayer maps and the Panzer elite and British forces for MP *if you did not already get them in opposing fronts. It also adds three new MP modes: Assault, Stonewall, and Blitzkrieg. Assault is like DoTa, in that you select an infantry hero and try to push into the enemy lines to ultimately destroy their depo, while the enemy heroes do the same to you. Stone wall pits 1-4 players against the AI in a attempt to defend a town from and invasion force *This is my favorite and is EXTREMELY difficult*. Blitzkrieg is like assault but has the players using tanks instead.

The campaigns are especially compelling as they take the action on to a much more personal level with your men, instead of controlling a battalion you are charged with a tank crew, or a squad of men, or at the most a garrison from a small town. The story is well written as well as well acted.

The only real problem with this game is its length. The entire campaign can be completed in probably 4-7 hours. That said, it is a really fun 4-7 hours but for a 30 dollar price tag...meh. This is a great game but it simply does not add enough content to justify it price, if you can find it cheap this is a must buy for CoH fans, even so, Price as is, I would recommend this game to anyone who loves RTS games.
