Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor doesn't add much to the franchise, but what it does add is quite good.

Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor review by talknight2.

Most of the game's features remained true to the original Company of Heroes, therefore I will only talk about the new features.
If you want to read about the old features, check my review for the original Company of Heroes.

Tales of Valor adds 3 campaigns, 3 mission long each. And they can all be finished in under 3 hours.
This is somewhat dissappointing, but the developers stayed true to the Company of Heroes spirit, and created 3 wonderful storylines, and enhanced the already excellent gameplay even further, by adding small-unit action to the first 2 campaigns.

In the first campaign, Tiger Ace, you command a single Tiger tank with a super-elite crew, and blow the hell out of the British Army, before eventually having to bail out and run back to base on foot, trying to avoid the British patrols, and destroying defences on the way.
After that you'll retake the town with the help of a PanzerGrenadier division and an extra (normal) Tiger.

The 2nd campaign is about the 82nd Airborne and their fight to capture an important causeway.
You begin with 2 squad, Able, the assault team, armed with Thompsons, and Baker, the fire team, armed with BAR's and Recoilles Rifles.
You'll use them and their skills to secure one side of the causeway.
Later you'll have to assault and defend the other side from a several tank and infantry assault, before continueing on and destroying the main German base.

The 3rd campaign, and the longest, is about the German army's desperate attempt to escape the Falaise Pocket. You command the hopeless defence of the town of Trun against relentless American and British (Canadian) assaults and eventually ensure the escape of many battered German units.

Other than the 3 new campaigns, Tales of Valor also adds 2 new units for each faction, except the Wehrmacht who gets 3. Unfortunately those units replace existing units.
The new units are mostly new and better recon vehicles for the Germans, a better command tank for the British, and some different variations of tanks for each faction.

Tales of Valor also has new multiplayer modes.
1) Assault, where each player command 1 "hero" unit and attempts to destroy the enemy base with the help of normal units controlled by the AI.
2) Stonewall, where you and your teammates defend a town from waves of AI controlled units.
3) Panzerkrieg (Tank War), where each player controlls a "hero" tank and attempts to capture 3 control points.

The rest of the game is identical to the previous games.
