A good game tragically way too short.

Company Of Heroes: Tales Of Valor (COH: TOV) the third game in the Company Of Heroes franchise adds three new online multiplayer modes (Stonewall, Assault, and Pazerkrieg) . Two of these are offer great experiences, Assault allows any of the players involved to chose a class in which to fight a single unit as either American or Wehrmacht. Classes include rifleman, sniper, medic, recon, engineer, and, heavy support. As the player progresses in the match eliminating enemy players, AI controlled units, machine gun nests, or mortor bunkers, they gain experience to upgrade their unit in three categories offensive (increasing the power of the weapon), defensive (decreasing the amount of damage taken), and grenade (increasing the power of grenades). Assault fun and quick at times with one side quickly over powering the other or a back-and-forth flow which can make matches last a little longer. Typical Assault matches last about 5-10 mins.
Panzerkrieg (translated tank war) pits to opposing sides against each other and showcases the new direct-fire feature introduced in TOV. Direct-fire allows the player chose where to aim the tank's main gun and when to fire, and no longer being forced to rely on the AI, after some practice players can become more accurate than the AI gunner. Panzerkrieg matches are based on the victory point system, each team starts with 500 or 1000 points depending on the match host, points are deducted from these totals when any of the three victory points are held and each victory point allows bonuses the longer it is held; holding more than one point decreases te enemy's total faster. Another way is to destroy the enemy players' tanks with deduct 25 points everytime one is destroyed. Typical Panzerkrieg matches will last from 10-15 mins.
Stonewall, the third new multiplayer modes is ridiculous, and not in a good way. Relic needs to fix a number of areas, some are being addressed through patches according to the community site at http://community.companyofheroesgame.com/ . My biggest problem is not having enough time to set up defences or repair and build new ones between rounds. If anyone is going play Stonewall you have got to communicate, failure to do so will cause you and your teammates to be steamrolled by the AI even on easy.
The single player campaigns for COH: TOV are a lot fun, particulary Tiger Ace, which when finished connects TOV to the original COH and Opposing Fronts, but at three missions which can be completed in 2-3 hrs maximum, too short. The same can be said for the two other campaigns, which are also three missions each, for a total of nine.
I'll be honest and say I'm really dissapointed in this game, I'm just lucky I got for free because I had a gift card. The forums on the COH community site and here in the Gamespot forums are ablaze with what players want to see in the next game. Top among suggestions is the Eastern front, the Pacific, and North Africa. My only wish is if the Eastern front is done in the next game that the Battle of Kursk, the largest tank battle to ever take place, be included.
