A good side scrolling adventure

To start, I think this is the one I played when I was younger, I can't find the game so don't know. There were two I played, but one looked like it was made around this time, and the other a bit later. They were both fun, the one i think this is was very pixled, but the graphics were still alright, and easy to see your character etc. To be honest, I beat this game a lot of time using god mode. It was a map and you walked to select which level you wanted to play, but if one level was blocking the path, you had to beat it to proceed. With God mode you didn't have to beat it to get past. there were four levels you had to beat to win. They had parts to your space ship. I kept playing those levels and winning. This game is good and I'm saying this, as I said before, assuming this is the older version I played, or even one I played.
