Cold Winter is a vastly underappreciated FPS that everybody should at least look at.

User Rating: 9.1 | Cold Winter PS2
The worst part of Cold Winter is the audiovisual components, which are still good. The great sound effects are brought down by bad voice acting, and the superb graphics are brought down by an unsteady framerate online. What was GameSpot talking about when they said the graphics are dated? Everything about them is great from the charaacters to the explosions. The single player game is outstanding, as is the multiplayer online and off. There is a ton of customizable options. There are 12 levels of perfect size and about 30 weapons. The controls could be a little better, but they are also great. The aiming is perfect and the enviroments are destructable. There is also no map, which helps in stealth sequences. In single-player, the AI is great, and the story is too. The whole single player game is about 15 hours long. The multiplayer is actually better offline than online because online has an okay framerate and there are few useres on. You can play 4 players offline and 16 players online. Overall, Cold Winter is the best FPS for the PS2 this year.
