I found this game annoying... just plain annoying.
'Cinema empire' by Donkey Games, is full of fluff.
The game interface is based on a main map full of completely useless buildings. However those that you will be using are a handful, you get to them via quick buttons at the bottom of the screen. In other words, a lot of useless buildings on a map = fluff.
Each building where you conduct your rentals and purchases is full of, yes you guessed it, more fluff! A screen-full of things and just one or two, click able area, in my book equals FLUFF! Except the actual theaters where you have more click able areas... I guess those are fine.
I would have preferred a game where everything is in easy to navigate menus, buy, sell, rent, oversee... than to have to go screen hopping though a bunch of useless graphics that although pretty... are JUST FLUFF!!
The game is based on: rent a movie, acquire ads to show, buy food, snacks, make sure you have staff, and place the movies on a daily basis along with ads in each theater.. by hand... did I mention ON A DAILY BASIS?
I found no way to queue an entire month of movies for example... that's just ridiculous. To sum it up...This is the basic tycoon style game where you climb a corporate ladder to multimillionaire status. Although if being a theater mogul means drudging over repetitive tasks, incredibly boring repetitive tasks on backdrops of useless graphics while micromanaging things I ____would prefer to remain middle-class.
Not worth buying folks. There's a MUCH better option if you're looking for a Cinema tycoon game... it's entitled "Cinema Tycoon Gold" Reflexive.com
sells it.
