Great game, in the style of Monkey Island.
My only complaint is that the game did run a bit slow at first, until I tweaked the options to reduce the games need for hardware and shut down everything else I could find on my computer, including my virus software, then the game ran quite well. I was surprised at having to do this, as my PC is quite high end and should have been able to run the game without doing this. Also considering that,with the Monkey island series,the graphics were just as good I feel and played on much slower and older systems. There where also a few bugs and crashes in Ceville which spoilt the game play a bit, even after the latest patch was installed. In fact these complaints are the reason I rated the game a 9 and not a 10. I most definitely would have rated it a 10 otherwise.
I did feel the game ended a bit abruptly, but was pleased when it said, "to be continued". I am very much looking forward to the next installment of Ceville and hope that the next one won't have the bugs this one did.
Even with the running problems, I feel that this game is brilliant and definately worth playing. I think it could be the beginning of another great series. Especially for those of us still hoping for more Monkey Island games. Ceville definately comes close to a Monkey Island game. Looking forward to the next one.
