After completing Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission I was somewhat skeptical about the reviews and comments of many of the members of Gamespot that claimed Castlevania: Circle of the Moon to be the best of the genre. I should have listened. It is true! Circle of the Moon, despite being released before either of the Metroids, is the best of the "Castletroid" sub-genre. The adventure takes apporximately 10 hours to complete, but more hours could easily be spent on the Arena, finding every single item and piece of the map, and just general leveling up. The difficulty level stays on a consistently increasing pace throughout the game. Well, that is until you find the Uranus Card. With the Uranus equipped the character can destroy even the final boss of the game with relative ease, which sorta kills the credibility of consistent difficulty. However, Circle of the Moon remians the best GBA game that I have yet played.
