“Castlevania: Symphony of the Night” ported over to the GBA.
I’ve always enjoyed the side-scrolling games, à la “Castlevania,” “Contra,” “Blaster Master,” and “Metroid,” and while many of the Castlevania games are very similar, on the GBA enough variety has been thrown in to make each enjoyable in its own right.
In “Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow,” the ability to absorb an enemy’s soul and make use of new offensive and defensive weapons added some interesting variety to the game. The non-linear gameplay also added to the fun, and the music was engaging enough for a GBA game.
