Nice arsenal of weapons, armour, and souls.

I played this game almost 3 years ago, so please don't mind if I'm a bit rusty on the details. This is a nice action side-scroller game for the GBA. Your sole controllable character is Soma Cruz, who doesn't have much special power at first. However, as you fight and kill several monsters and bosses in the castle, you gradually increase in power. Such power is not only in terms of increasing stats, but you also receive stronger weapons and armour to prepare for the harder battles ahead. After killing a certain amount of specific monsters, you may acquire their souls too. These souls give you special abilities, such as being able to walk on water, glid through the air, have flying axes surround you and attack enemies that approach, etc. There are also a few built-in abilities as you progress through the game; double-jumping being one example.

In certain locations, you can teleport to a faraway place to save your time in traveling by foot. Although the castle is large and you need to explore several areas at least twice, this game won't last for that long. It took me slightly more than 10 hours to complete, so the time/money ratio is relatively low. Nonetheless, the graphics and gameplay make up for it. And with everyone wanting to see the good ending of the game, there is replay value to it.
