Wonderful 2D platformer for anyone with a GBA

User Rating: 9.2 | Castlevania: Akatsuki no Minuet GBA
There are 3 Castlevaina games released on the GBA console, and I believe Aria of Sorrow is the best of them three. Of course, I won't deny the greatness of the other 2. But I spent most of the time playing this one. Because it is an overall more polished game with more replay value, fixed bugs, and a very balanced, not so frustrating but occasionally challenging difficulty.
First let's get on with the story, no, Dracula is not revived again, no. Here comes Soma(I don't know his last name), the decedent of Dracula. I think everyone's familiar with the story cause you will know about it from the other reviews. So I'm go straight to the point, the game is as good as a classic castlevania game gets.
First we've got a new soul system that replaces sub-weapons, every monster in the game has a soul, know all about it in the other players' reviews. I think it's a great way to add the replay value to the game, it's true that some of the souls ARE down-right useless. But there's big secret when you collect 100% souls. So this is like big collectable system that will really take a lot of time. A new weapon system is introduced, there are so many different weapons in the game, some are faster some are slower some have large attack area and so on.
The monsters are also the spot-light of the game, some monster will be a secret until you use certain souls. For example, in some maps, you'll see a beam of light flying so quickly that you won't be able to hit it at all, but with a soul that controls time, you'll kill that little bugger in no time.
The bosses are very fun to fight against, the first few bosses are your classic castlevania enemies, huge armors, big golems and so on, and of course...DEATH!!
There are different endings for the game and they are all presented well, slowly you'll uncover items that you won't know what to do with, but when you figure them out, the castle will be fully unlocked...yeah...
There's also a harder difficulty when you complete the game once, with several different weapons and more. Replay value...remember?
So overall, for someone who likes action game and a player on the go with a gba, buy and play this game to the fullest, that mean get all the souls, unlock 100% of the castle, experience all 3 endings and finish the game with an unlockable charactor and more!! You will want to do all those when you play the game.
