Better than the old Castlevania games.

I played this one on an Emulator some years ago and then got the real game on Gamebody Advance. Either way Castlevania Aria of Sorrow is a perfectlly good game thats deffinatly worth the money. The only problem I have with these RPG style Castlevania games is you get lost like crazy due to all the floors and new areas that are hard to find. The main thing I strongly disliked about Aria of Sorrow is the fact that Konami turned it into Anime instead of leaving it as the original European comic style. Plot: Basically take control of a young man named Soma Cruz who has dark magic powers that are similar to Dracula's. Your goal is to seek out the truth about these powers at the same time you meet interesting characters along the way including a guy who wears an all white suit claiming to be Dracula. Music: For some reason Castlevania Symphony of the night and Castlevania Lament of Innosence will always have the best soundtrack out of all the Castlevania games. Aria of Sorrow is no acception though because the music has the same classical theme as always except this time its a little less symphonic. I didn't like it that much because its rather repetive than different.

Gameplay:Simple and smooth! The gameplay handles really well even on the Emulators it still plays exacally like the gameboy Advance version. You collect souls from the enemies you kill and you can also find or purchase a half dozen of weapons and armour. Like any RPG game you level up and become stronger. Castlevania Aria of Sorrow is not a frustraiting game at all except for the huge level designs that makes it rather hard to find the hidden areas of the game. But it has the same mechanics as Symphony of the night and thats a good thing. What I really don't understand is why did Aria of Sorrow recieve an 8.7 and Circle of the moon recieved a 9.6? I think Castlevania Aria of Sorrow was allot better in terms of graphics, and gameplay. Both games lack in the music department.

Graphics:Much better than the other two Castelvania's on Gameboy Advanced. Even when viewed up close the graphics look just as good as Dracula X for the Super Nintendo. Or even better. Like I said, its the Anime theme the game went for that I didn't like. Even some of the characters have japanese names. Which is sort of an insult to the Castlevania series when the setting was always Europe.

Another thing I hated about the game is that the dialog was lame anime based dialog. Not at all serious like Lament Of Innocence was on the PS2
