A classic revived and improved upon - a rare combination.
I have not played more than a few hours however this game is instantly familiar with the SSG product in the past. This game isn't for everyone - it is challenging (has great AI), it is historically accurate, it can be tedious at times however if you love WW2 and historical detail all in great graphics with sound effects then you'll love this game. Basically it is an instant classic all over again. There's a lot of re-playable action here with many factors determining how the game is played out. Even with all settings at 'default' you'll find that the artificial intelligence may throw a 'change up' at ya and all your well laid out plans do not mean success, you'll need some 'luck' if you will on your side. Carriers were very fragile with a very deadly knockout punch making for interesting strategies and outcomes. All in all, the typical gaming crowd will not like this game (just like the majority don't like chess) however that doesn't mean it isn't a gem waiting to be discovered by those patient few that learn and play the game.
