Great game, but with even higher expectations!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a game that has been tracked by the majority of the gaming world since its announcement. Since the games release it has shattered records for units sold by any form of media and rightfully so. The hype this game generated almost made it impossible to meet the standards that game players were hoping for. Miraculously though, the game does very well for itself in such a harsh environment.

I found the most impressive element of the game to be the single player. I highly enjoyed playing through the short, but well thought out campaign. It was reassuring to see that the single player portion of the game was not completely thrown to the wayside due to the massive white-elephant in the room known as COD:MW2's multiplayer.

Let me make this known, the multiplayer is extremely fun and addicting. There are so many unlockable features within this portion of the game that one could literally play for months on end and still have not unlocked every piece included. There are now many complaints towards the multiplayer, and I have heard of many gamers retiring from the game mainly due to the various problems and bugs that have been found within the game. Another major complaint I have heard is that the level design is too conducive to camping tactics. I personally have never really cared about this issue, because to me, camping is just a part of the gameplay that the player has to deal with.

Overall, COD:MW2 has been a great experience, and my wife and I have logged plenty of hours into the game. For the gamers I have previously mentioned, I hope that IW can sort out the issues that have come to the forefront, but if not, I will still enjoy playing the game.
